I don’t think it’s fair to label Discordians a “fake” religion just because they admit that it’s all made up. I believe them just as much as I believe any of the others.

I say, hell yes, raise taxes on the rich (again — it used to be that way). Use that money to rebuild our suffering schools and crumbling infrastructure. The rich can move to another country any time they want, anyway — why should we keep bribing them with low taxes to keep them around? We’re a nation that built itself from scratch. Who needs parasitic multibillionaires that are getting far more out of this country than they’re giving back? Their money will still run through the international monetary system whether they’re “living” in America or not, so let’s call their bluff. I’m tired of watching my country fall apart as a trade-off for subsidizing inhumanly rich, greedy people while they tell us how lazy that poor people are.

I’m not talking about raising taxes on struggling people, I’m talking about raising taxes on the highest tippy-top, the ones who’ve benefited so greatly from the Reagan-to-Bush Era tax cuts. And if they don’t like it, fine. Let them move. All that trickle-down crap is nonsense anyway.
