Tad’s Mood Today
I’m flying today, so I may not have a chance to say hello again until I get to Stuttgart. Hello. Hello. I don’t know why you say goodbye, I say hello.

This kind of thing is why I’m glad I live now.

The music of this era is going to sound so funny in the future. Not that they won’t auto-tune anymore, just that it will be indistinguishable, instead of being the signature.

Quick suggestions for good short passages from the Otherland books to be read in Germany (in German, by a German actress). Many of these people won’t have read the work, I’m assuming. Anybody?
Was sending this to my daughter, but Aretha is too good not to share:

GMOMG!
I understand now why I’m so confused.
Are lots of you down with Peter Blegvad? Because if you’re not, you’re missing something. My brother Stewart Evans first introduced me to Leviathan and his adventures have been a guiding light to me ever since.

I am crashing through the first draft (well, the polish of the first draft) of Sleeping Late On Judgment Day. I’m trying to get it done before I go off to Germany next week, because I want to come back and hit the ground running with my next, ominously secret project.

You can never have too many stupid dog pictures.

I’m trying not to cry. I think I nailed it down when I said I wanted to work for World Peace and Happy Children.
I want to thank the Flying Spaghetti Monster, and praise him — oh, I’m just so happy! — and my Nan-Nan, who always believed in me. Thank you all. I’m the luckiest girl in the whole U.S.A!
We did boom and bang with lovely family. Our parents’ place is next to a lagoon and the ocean, and we had some pretty impressive unsanctioned displays locally, on the beach and in several other locations.
I always enjoy hanging with my clan, but I particularly enjoyed the chance to annoy my nephews. I have been lying to them floridly since they could barely stand. When they are older, I will give them suspect financial advice, such as playing the ponies instead of investing. When I die, I will leave them a small cash bequest, in pennies, and a photoshopped picture of me riding dinosaurs while dressed like a cool barbarian with a sword.

Thanks to Marie Brayman for this one.
People who are in the majority, hold the power, and yet present themselves as victims are the most dangerous humans of all.
I used this picture a few weeks back and someone who collected masks asked me where it was from. I finally found it:

Checking the score of the Giants game these days is kind of like pausing to drop a large, heavy stone onto one’s reproductive organs. Not a lot of fun.
All volunteers, I promise.
