As Tad ages, the comedian and jokester comes out in him, more and more. Maybe it’s panic. All I know is I cut n pasted the below, from Tad’s Facebook page, as I came across them, and re-reading them now made me laugh again.
I’ve also got some material I gathered for the marketing of Ordinary Farm, and then didn’t use, so it’s coming into this blog soon. I’ve been making lists. What is it, that makes a list so appealing? A brief moment of order, perhaps? (Says she, from the depths of her very disordered house.)
‘Like Donna D'Errico, who has asked fans not to post shots of her from her Playmate days on Facebook, out of respect for her children's sensibilities, I am asking my fans not to post any more of my Playboy pictures here, either. I was younger then. And there was a lot of airbrushing. But I'm not proud of myself.’
‘You know, it can be really, really difficult trying to end a book. Not as bad as living with a terminal disease or anything, but still a pain in the -culo-.’
‘Kippers seems particularly dreadful at the moment because I drank sea-monkey water yesterday. Because of that, my next child will be named "Salmonella", and we will make her keep the fish clean while the rest of us go off to Neptune's Ball.’
‘Played music with Rick tonight. Or, rather, Rick played music and I did my best to play along. But slowly, Shirley, I'm getting better... (Yes, I know how to spell "surely". It's -humor-, dude.)’
‘Speaking of Eggfest: who here has not loved Picture Eggs? (You know, made of sugar with little scenes inside?) Who has not loved peering into one as if it were a monoscopic Viewmaster? And who among us has not pulled out the little scene (especially if it was one of the just-a-picture-on-cardboard types) and substituted one of savagery and horror, then given it to his young nephews...? Nobody else? Really?’
‘Lucy the sea-monkey matriarch has passed on. Or she's decided to lie at the bottom of the tank, inside the tiki idol, and take a really, really long nap. Either way, I don't think she'll be making a comeback. She was one of the good, brave ones.’
‘Although I know myself far too well now for us to be strangers, we seem destined to remain no more than just friends.’
‘The rain is Tex, the fire is Joe and they call the wind Mariah. But they just call the mountain "Hey, you!", because, really, who spends a lot of time talking to mountains?’

Just thieved this from an interview for a web-journo in Germany, and thought it so good I’d post it.
“Family is important to everyone, either positively or negatively, by its presence or by its absence. Everybody I know has been hugely effected by their upbringing and heritage, and it’s the dirty secret of modernism, which elevated the individual to a role of almost sole importance: we are none of us individuals. We are creatures of community and kinship. Can we change a bad beginning? Of course. Is it hard work? Of course. That’s what makes the struggle interesting. And when you have children of your own, as I do, you begin to see yourself less as a bold single thread and more as part of a tapestry, which is just as interesting, but different.”

Daughter of the house was given some wikki stix (?) in a restaurant, whereupon she took them outside and did this to the newspaper dispenser. The greeter in the restaurant then gave her three packets more...

That’s what’s on Tad’s tee in these pics. Here he is, unsuspecting of lurking camera, and writing :

I had to ask if he could take a few seconds break and help me with something, and his response was kind of – pained:

In the evening we took a breather in the garden:

And the next day was yesterday, namely, filming the library video:

The poor dear just posted this on his FB page:
Life is just kicking me in the a$$ with... stuff and I can’t get anything else done. No work, no emails to friends, no appointments, no nada zippo nothing bupkis. Very frustrating. Thank god I’m independently wealthy and all my friends are psychic. Oh, wait...
O Tempus! O Mori! O Deadlines!
